Emmerdale spoilers: Charity discovers Mack’s baby secret, plus new upset for Mandy

Plus Mandy and Paddy recriminate after a surprise snog, Gabby remains in the dark about Nicky, while Caleb’s plotting gets Kim interested.

Charity uncovers the truth about Mack

Charity can’t help but notice that Mack is behaving strangely. And when the new dad discovers that son Reuben may have a bleed on the brain, he ends up getting drunk, punching Dan and then stalking off into the night.

Mack’s destination is, of course, the hospital, but once he reaches the building, he finds himself unable to go in and instead sits outside, where he ignores a call from Charity.

After a panicked Chloe is then told by the consultant that an unimproved Reuben needs another scan, Nate urges Mack to visit, which he does – risking his relationship in the process. Later on, both parents are left relieved when doctors reveal that there’s no sign of brain damage.

But when Charity pays an impromptu visit to the hospital, she’s shocked to find an oblivious but obviously emotional Mack with Reueben – and realisation dawns in an instant that he must be the baby’s father.

Upset for Mandy and Paddy

Paddy and Mandy have lunch together, but as the pair reflect on their relationship, they end up in a passionate snog. But recriminations follow, with Mandy fearing they’ve made a mistake and Paddy upset at overstepping the mark.

The next day, Paddy apologises to a teary-eyed Mandy, who’s later told by Vinny that she’s not setting boundaries. Still pining over Paddy, Mandy then signs up for a dating app. And when she gets a match, Vinny convinces her to move forward.

Paddy, meanwhile, attends a man club away from the village and speaks up about his worries to the understanding group. After bonding with the guys in the room, he agrees to come back and it’s clear he’s moving in the right direction.

Gabby isn’t spotting the signs

An ecstatic Gabby celebrates after an official wedding date comes through. But when she drags Nicky off upstairs, he’s left sheepish when things fizzle out in the bedroom.

Later that day, we see Nicky having an illicit meet-up with Ally – and returning home to delete an incriminatory message before an oblivious Gabby can spot it. But he’s subsequently left horrified when he stumbles upon an impromptu meeting between Gabby and Ally…

Caleb’s big betrayal

There’s yet another showdown at the garage, this time between Will and Cain, who are set to come to blows. In the end, it’s left to Jimmy and Caleb to stand between the two pugilists, while Kim ends up confronting Cain and issuing him with a final warning.

In the midst of all this, Kim is starting to worry where Caleb’s loyalties lie. And after he makes a hash of the land purchase for the stud farm, Kim decides to end their partnership.

But Caleb is soon forming a plan after hearing that Cain and Moira’s land borders with Home Farm. Kim’s ears then prick up when Caleb comes up with a scheme to do the dirty on his own family to secure the land they need.

Tom lands himself a job

Finally, we’ll see Rhona looking the picture of shock and anger when she finds Tom operating on Monty at the vets’.

But, later, it’s Tom’s turn to be startled when Rhona does a U-turn and offers him a job. Will he accept her terms?
