An appeal has been launched after a suspected attempted burglary at a North East address.
Northumbria Police have today (March 17) released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to an alleged attempted robbery at a house on Grace Street, in Byker.
Police received a report of a man trying a handle at the Newcastle address on Tuesday (March 7) at 11:30pm.
They said the man then rang the doorbell and pulled on the door handle in an attempt to enter the property.
Adding to this, they said the man left the scene after being shouted at from those inside the address.
Police have said they wish to speak to the man in the picture as they were in the area at the time and may be able to assist officers with their enquiries.
