Dancing On Ice’s Christopher Dean has told fans that his skating partner Jayne Torvill’s surgery “went well” and that she is now recovering.
The Bolero star, 65, hurt herself on the ice and wore a sparkly sling to match her green dress on the latest instalment of the ITV show, explaining that she had ruptured her bicep tendon.
She has now had the op and Dean posted an update on Twitter.
“Jayne is out of surgery and all went well,” he wrote.
“Just recovery now. Thank you for all you well wishes.”
“White rabbits too,” added the TV star.
Fans said they were relieved to hear that the procedure had gone well and flocked to Twitter to wish the ice dance champ a speedy recovery.
“Sending her so much love,” posted one fan.
Another said: “Love and hugs Jayne. You are such a wonderful, beautiful, talented woman. Get better soon please.”
One tweeted: “So glad to hear all went well.
“Sending love and best wishes for a full fast recovery.”
Another fan posted: “So glad that all went well. I’m a diehard fan from way back.
“Live in the States so can’t see you two like I’d like to, but good to know you’re still carrying on like rock stars!”
“Hope you are not in too much pain,” tweeted another fan of the Olympic stars.
Others thanked Dean for keeping them updated about how Torvill was doing after her op.
The pair are both judges on the ITV ice-skating competition, along with Diversity star Ashley Banjo and former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse.
