I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! alumni Frankie Bridge might be best known for being part of The Saturdays, but before that she was a member of S Club Juniors (aka S Club 8), releasing underrated bops like ‘One Step Closer’, ‘Automatic High’ and ‘Fool No More’.
With parent band S Club 7 announcing a reunion tour last week, there has been plenty of chatter about whether Frankie and the rest of the Juniors crew – Calvin Goldspink, Stacey McClean, Hannah Richings, Daisy Evans, Aaron Renfree, Jay Asforis and fellow Saturday Rochelle Humes – would follow in their footsteps and get the band back together.
Speaking to Metro, Frankie, who is married to former footballer Wayne Bridge, said that nothing was concrete. “God knows!” she said. “I had a message from Calvin this morning, and a message from Aaron, saying everyone’s been on to them.
“Apparently, the S Club 7 Instagram only follows every member of S Club Juniors – I don’t know what they’re playing at, but as far as I know we’re not getting back together.”
When S Club 7 announced their latest reunion tour, they said in a statement that: “After eight years, it feels amazing to announce that we’re reuniting and performing together again.
“We’re so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7. We can’t even believe it’s been so long! Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we’ve ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!”
Tickets for the reunion tour are now on sale, with a second London date added due to demand.
