Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers in Radcliffe say they have arrested a driver for multiple offences today, Saturday, January 7.
The driver was found to be in possession of an offensive weapon, as well as driving the car with no insurance and without wearing a seatbelt, police claim.
Officers stopped them as they were making their way into the McDonalds.
The drivers’ car has been seized by police.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Pilkington Park Neighbourhood officers stopped a driver who was just popping into McDonalds. Vehicle recently purchased but failed to buy insurance.
“The driver was also stopped, searched, and arrested for offensive weapon, no insurance, no seatbelt, and vehicle seized.”
Possession of an offensive weapon carries a maximum sentence of 4 years, according to the Sentencing Council.
