A young mum has suddenly died after suffering sickness overnight leaving her family devastated.
Kimberley Morrison, 36, was found dead at home last week in East Kilbride by her horrified husband.
Chris Morrison recalled the mum-of-three complaining of feeling unwell and vomiting, but urged him not to return from work and that she would see him in the morning.
Kimberely was a devoted mum
But when the 37-year-old came home at 6.30am on Sunday, August 21, he discovered her unresponsive and desperately tried to perform CPR, but it was too late.
He has been left distraught by the tragic loss as he is now a single dad to their children Savannah, nine, Cadence, five, and two-year-old Sawyer.
The devoted dad is determined to stay strong for his children and is remembering his wife as “one in a million”.
Kimberley will be hugely missed
The pair had been planning their seventh wedding anniversary in October before the tragic incident which has now left Chris heartbroken.
The 37-year-old told the Glasgow Times: “You don’t expect this to happen, you think you are going to grow old together and see your kids grow up.
“Kimberley was so popular and social, she loved talking to people.
“She had a smile that would light up any room and everyone loved her for it.
“I knew she was the person I wanted to be with for the rest of my life, now I feel like I only knew her for the blink of an eye.
“I will never get over her or know another girl like her, she was one in a million.
“My kids are keeping me going right now, if it wasn’t for them, I would have crawled into a corner.
“I need to go on for them, they really need their dad now.”
The couple’s three children are heartbroken
Chris is now trying to find money to pay for a funeral for his beloved wife while looking to support their three youngsters.
He was left blown away when his local community rallied round him to set up a GoFundMe to help contribute towards costs.
Chris said: “I am shocked and so mentally drained by everything.
“Times are hard and now I’m suddenly a single parent to three young kids.
“We struggled when it was the two of us and now it is just me.
“One of the parents at my kid’s school, Robert Brown, set up a GoFundMe for us to help pay for the funeral and children.
“I was gobsmacked and overwhelmed to see they had done that, I really couldn’t believe it and am so thankful.
“The amount of people coming forward to help us is really a testament to her character.”
Kimberley will be hugely missed
Chris is now focusing on planning a birthday party for little six-year-old Cadence to give the children an escape from reality.
He considered cancelling the bash but decided to go ahead as it is what Kimberley “would have wanted”.
Chris said: “We are still going to have a birthday party for my six-year-old.
“At first I thought how can I have a birthday for my wee lassie without her mammy, but she deserves a party and everyone is being so helpful to arrange it.
“My last phone call with Kimberley she was telling me to sort party bags and get organised for Saturday, so she would want it.”
