I’m A Celebrity is not only returning to Australia in 2022 for the first time since the pandemic, it’s also cementing its triumphant comeback by launching an all stars spin-off.
The series will head to a brand new camp in South Africa that’s overseen by hosts Ant and Dec, and will welcome back some familiar faces for a champion of champions contest.
All Star I’m A Celebrity might not be due on screen until 2023, but rumours are already swirling about who is heading back into camp.
Carol Vorderman
The former Countdown star is rumoured to be reprising her stint in camp after first appearing in 2016.
Vorderman has talked about how much she loves being outdoors since being on the show and was popular with viewers for her outspoken opinions and sense of fun.
Richard Madeley
He barely counted as having taken part in the 2021 series as a funny turn resulted in a hospital dash, meaning he’d broken the show’s COVID bubble and couldn’t return to camp.
Madeley, often likened to comedy character Alan Partridge, was expected to provide plenty of laughs and showbiz anecdotes for camp, so surely producers would jump at the chance to give him another go?
Helen Flanagan
Remembered as one of the show’s most dramatic contestants, former Corrie star Flanagan might have been amusing to viewers, but she kicked off many a camp row by refusing trials and leaving campmates to go hungry.
Will Flanagan be a braver contestant the second time around? They’ll have a job convincing her to get back into camp, first.
Gillian McKeith
One of the all-time classic campmates and for all the wrong reasons, McKeith would surely be a popular choice with fans of the show.
She will forever be remembered for appearing to fake fainting on live TV as a challenge loomed that she didn’t want to take part in, to the frustration of her fed-up co-stars.
Stacey Solomon

TV presenter and former Queen of the Jungle Solomon is rumoured to be eying a second chance at trial triumph.
Her time on the show was before she got together with another of its champions, Joe Swash, but as the pair have two very young children it’s unclear whether she would commit to the time away from them.
Paul Burrell
The public’s appetite for royal gossip, combined with former Princess Diana butler Burrell’s hilarious reactions to the trials, make for I’m A Celebrity gold.
Burrell was an unexpected star of the show when he first took part and would be a hit with fans if he went back into camp.
